Emilie Jaspers & Ed Pycraft win the Future Icons Award with Star Seed skincare

We are beyond proud and humbled to share Star Seed has received 2 prestigious accolades at Country & Town House Future Icons Awards:

🏆 Best Environmental Initiative

🌍 Highly Commended Best Sustainable Service

Future Icons celebrate leaders in sustainable luxury, and we are honoured to be recognised for our commitment to ethical beauty and regenerative practices.

When Emilie and I founded Star Seed in Kilifi, Kenya, in 2021, our mission was clear: create high-performing, waterless skincare that regenerates both your skin and the soil.

Every Star Seed product balances your skin’s microbiome, ensures transparent sourcing, and respects the wisdom of smallholder and tribal communities through ethical foraging.

Star Seed's Kilifi Fruit Forest plants 1,525 trees

1,525 NEW FRUIT TREES JUST PLANTED

Nourishing Kilifi’s schoolchildren and regenerating school land reached a new milestone. We successfully planted another 1,525 fruit trees, with a total of 2,027 indigenous fruit trees grown in schools over the last year.

Alongside The LEAF, we positively impact 20 schools supporting over 2,000 students directly, expanding their understanding of environmental stewardship and transforming schoolyards into flourishing, biodiverse orchards.

Once the project is fully developed, these trees will cover approximately 2 hectares, a footprint that promises both nutrition security and a lasting legacy for Kilifi's environment.

Now in our 3rd Year, Star Seed's partnership with The LEAF has successfully grown 6,706 indigenous trees and mangroves, impacting 2,240 community livelihoods and regenerating 3.5+ hectares of land.

Every time you apply your favourite Star Seed skincare, you help support our mission, to regenerate your skin and our soils.
